EasyMediation Service Fees

Mediation fees are always broken down in two posts. The initial administrative fees that serve to cover the costs of the organism that organized the mediation and the mediator fees. EasyMediation is unique because it does not require the parties to pay any administrative costs at all.

As to Mediators fees they are as you will see below very reasonable. In addition our Mediators will charge only 50% of their fees in the case where they are unable to convince the parties to reach a settlement. Our fees schedule is therefore as follows:

1.1 There are no administrative fees.
Mediators’ fees
2.1 The Mediator Fees shall be calculated as a percentage of the amount in dispute.

2.2 If the Mediation end without a written settlement as per Article 13 of the EasyMediation Rules then only 50% of the Mediator fees are due. Prior to start the proceedings, the Mediator may request each party to deposit an equal amount (unless otherwise agreed) as advance payment towards the costs of the mediation.

2.3 The Mediator fees are exclusive of any costs or expenses being however specified that the Mediator must require approval of the parties before to incur any expenses. Without the parties approval expenses are not reimbursable.

2.4 Mediator Fees are as follows:

Examples on how to calculate Mediator Fees

Dispute = 45,000 USD

EASYMEDIATION MEDIATOR recommended fee: USD 2,500, which is calculated as follows:

USD 1,500 + 5% of USD 20,000 (i.e., 5% of the amount exceeding USD 25,001)

USD 1,500 + USD 1,000 = USD 2,500

Dispute = 85,000 USD

EASYMEDIATION MEDIATOR recommended fee: USD 3,575, which is calculated as follows:

USD 2,750 + 4% of USD 35,000 (i.e., 4% of the amount exceeding USD 50,001)

USD 2.700 + USD 875 = USD 3,575

Dispute = 185,000 USD

EASYMEDIATION MEDIATOR recommended fee: USD 5,175 which is calculated as follows:

USD 4,000 + 2.5% of USD 85,000 (i.e., 2.5% of the amount exceeding USD 100,000)

USD 4,000 + USD 1,275 = USD 5,175
